New in Labs: Tasks

  • New in Labs: Tasks
Keep track what you need to do with a lightweight task list right inside of Gmail. Just click and type to add new tasks, convert emails into tasks, and (most satisfyingly) check them off as you're done. Once you turn on this Labs feature, look for the Tasks link to the left of your inbox under Contacts. Turn on tasks and more from the Labs tab under Settings.
  • Gmail Labs allows you to try out experimental new features in Gmail. If you're going to brave the Labs world, it's important to keep the following things in mind about these features:

    • They may break at any time.
    • Similarly, they may disappear temporarily or permanently.
    • They may work so well that they graduate and become regular features.

So, with that in mind, If you encounter any problems while you have a Labs feature enabled, here are some things you can do:

    • Go to http://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=0 to temporarily disable Labs and get your account back to normal.
    • If you'd like to help pinpoint the problem, you can disable each feature until the problem goes away; then, report what happened.
    • Give us feedback by using the 'Send feedback' link next to the Lab in question on the Labs tab of the Gmail Settings, or by visiting this page. You can report bugs, tell us what you like and dislike about the feature, and share special ways in which you're using it.

We'll post updates about new Labs features to the Gmail blog, so stay tuned
